Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,
I know that you have been waiting for an update regarding any extended school closure. As mentioned in my letter/message to you yesterday, we were awaiting for guidance as to next steps. It has been decided that MVP will be closed to students and faculty until April 9th. After that, the school will be closed for Easter break. At this time we are planning to reopen after Spring Break, April 20th. We will continue to assess new developments and will inform you promptly of any changes to this plan, by email.
Please note that our teachers will continue to provide daily instruction through remote learning. I urge you to revisit with your children the expected behavior and procedures that are to be followed while students are on line with the teachers. Unfortunately, we have noticed that some students are being disruptive and disrespectful during lessons. We will be taking measures to address such behaviors and our counselors and teachers may contacting you directly. In addition, be reminded that attendance is required and being recorded. Grades are and will continue to be issued through Teacherease. Student academic performance continues to be assessed through student engagement during discussions, completion of assigned work, homework and tests.
Thank you for your continuous cooperation and support.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Continue to be safe.
