MVP students were selected to join "One-of-a-kind-Event" at Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden opened its doors to Broadway and  along with  18,000 middle school and high school students  - the 8th grade class and teachers were able to see the Broadway Show adaptation of Harper Lee's iconic book- “To Kill A Mockingbird”

Thousands of middle and high school students from all five boroughs were able to see the show for free, thanks to the chairman and CEO of Madison Square Garden

Mayor Bill De Blasio and First Lady Chirlane McCray, as well as filmmaker Spike Lee,  introduced the performance. The mayor has also declared February 26 “To Kill a Mockingbird Day.”
